What a WhatsApp AI Agent Actually Costs in the UAE

Search for an AI agent for your business in Dubai and you will find a dozen providers. Almost none of them will tell you what it costs.

Every page ends the same way. Book a call. Request a quote. Speak to our team. You cannot compare two options without sitting through two sales calls, and by the end of those calls you still do not know whether the number you were given is normal or high.

This post gives you the numbers.

What the market actually charges

Published estimates from UAE agencies and development firms fall into a fairly consistent range.

Setup or build fees run from around AED 2,600 for a simple lead capture flow to AED 15,000 for an AI-driven agent with multiple decision paths and integrations. Larger custom builds go well beyond that, into AED 20,000 to 50,000 and higher for enterprise work.

Monthly fees typically land between AED 500 and AED 5,000. Most service businesses sit in the AED 1,500 to AED 2,500 band. Subscription platforms that are not built specifically for the UAE start lower, around AED 440 to AED 550 per month on entry tiers, but scale quickly with contacts or seats.

So a service business in Dubai signing with an agency is commonly looking at somewhere around AED 6,500 up front and AED 2,000 a month after that. That is roughly AED 30,000 in the first year.

Whether that is worth it depends entirely on what is inside it.

What you are actually paying for

A monthly fee of AED 2,000 sounds like one thing. It is usually four.

The platform. The software that runs the agent, holds your business information, and gives you somewhere to see the conversations. This is the part that should be doing the work.

Meta's WhatsApp charges. These are paid to Meta, either directly or through your provider. Since November 2024, service messages are free when they are replies inside the 24-hour window a customer opens by messaging you first. Marketing messages are not free and run roughly AED 1.20 to AED 1.45 each in the UAE. Utility messages like appointment reminders are far cheaper, around AED 0.15 to AED 0.20.

This matters more than most business owners realise. If your agent mainly answers people who message you, your Meta bill stays small. If a provider is pushing outbound marketing broadcasts, that line grows fast.

AI usage. The cost of the model actually reading and writing the messages. For a business handling a few hundred conversations a month this is modest. It scales with volume and with how long your conversations run.

Setup and support. Configuring the agent with your services, prices, hours and rules, then keeping it accurate as those change.

The build fee is where the biggest variation sits, and it is worth understanding why it exists.

When an agency builds you a custom agent, they are writing your business logic from scratch. Your booking flow, your qualification questions, your handover rules. That takes their time, so they charge for it. Fair enough.

But it also means two things you should think about.

First, you have paid for something specific to you. If you want to change it later, that is often another piece of work and another invoice.

Second, the agency now owns the knowledge of how your agent works. Some are good about this. Some are not.

A product-based platform takes the opposite approach. The logic already exists and is configured for your business rather than built for it. Less bespoke, but changes are a settings update rather than a project, and there is no large sum committed before you know whether it works.

Neither model is wrong. They suit different situations. A business with genuinely unusual requirements may need the custom build. Most service businesses do not.

Questions worth asking before you sign

Whoever you talk to, these five questions will tell you most of what you need to know.

Is the monthly fee inclusive? Ask specifically whether Meta's message charges and AI usage are inside the number or billed separately. A low headline fee with variable costs stacked on top is common.

What happens when my prices change? If updating your service list requires a support ticket and a wait, that will become a problem. You should be able to change it yourself.

Who owns the setup? If you leave, what do you keep.

Is there a contract? Twelve-month lock-ins are normal in this market. They are not necessary.

Can I try it before I pay? If the answer is no, ask why not.

What we charge

For the sake of not doing the thing this post is about, here is our pricing.

NeuraLake is AED 299 per month for the base plan, which includes one seat. Additional seats are AED 49 each. There is no setup fee and no contract. Voice, Instagram and Facebook Messenger are optional add-ons priced separately, so you only pay for the channels you use.

Setup is done for you rather than left to you, and most businesses are live within 24 hours.

There is a 14-day free trial and it does not ask for a card.

We are cheaper than most of the market because we are a product rather than an agency. The agent already exists. Setting it up for your business is configuration, not construction. That is a real difference in what you get, not just in what you pay, and it is worth understanding before you choose either way.
